As a busy mum with three children, it was easier to make stories up on the go. Sadly, I never wrote them down. As the children got older I started my first book, Pookins of Beauchamp Road. I did this out of a natural curiosity of how things work. In 2012 when I started writing the only way of publishing work without paying an agent was via Kindle Direct Publishing. You couldn't publish in colour, paperback or hardback, only ebook which was difficult for a children's book where pictures bring them to life.

Kindle evolved adding paperbacks and hardback formats and illustrations, I re published my books. I can't draw for toffee so asked the daughter of a friend of mine Issy Blackhurst if she would be able to come up with some illustrations. They are really eautiful and made the books come to life.

My books are designed to be bedtime stories, each chapter a short story in its own right. Ocassionally, I might dabble in a cook/craft book or adult fiction but my love is really children's books.
